Taoist

Well today is the last month of 7th month for the taoist; chinese. As far as i know...is all about burning papers for the death, feeding the ghosts that come out from hell, when the hell gates open on 7th month. And, for this year, there are 2 times 7th month. Means today is the last day for 7th month, and tomorrow will be the brand new beginning of 7th month AGAIN! whAT The hECk, i don understand...My sis said, it happened every 4 years in chinese calender.

So, as a toaist believer family, today we kinda celebrated the ghost month festival, where you buy alot of food for the ghosts, so that they will protect you, help you on the business and thank them for a smooth year. Old people said, those food can be added but can never be less. If like last year you pray TTTTHHHHIIIISSSS amount of food....so next year you have to pray TTTHHHHHIIIISSSS amount of food. You try to be thrifty, pray less...and something bad will happen to you.

That sounds funny to me.

FOr your information, i am a buddhist believer. I believe it because its so much more logical, like kharma for example. WEll, burning money papers is just the same as, taking ur hard earned money and throw it away. Don't you think those papers are cheap. EVerytime my mum went to buy, everything together for each time will cause you around RM100+. Not joking. My Aunty is selling those papers money beside TomSom(Batu Pahat) there; If your mum happens want to errrrrr you know, pray or thank those ghost, bring her there. teehehehe (advertising). Just for 1 year, i guess my parents burnt to at least RM 600+ or much mroe worth of papers money to our accendents.

THe idea of paper moneys to me...Begins with a story...

"1 day, long long time ago, somebody was very poor but business smart! He thought of creating a papers money because everyone loves their loves one so much although they had already died. So he invented the story that death people needs all kind of money, cigg, mercedez, house, maids, rolex, crocodile shirts and even laptop, and whatever u can think of! And he started to spread his "story" then, somebody started to believe the possibilities and started to burn it. More and more people do that because they really love their loves one although they had passed away. ALthough it sounded ridiculous, but they ain't gonna give chance for their loves one to suffer in hell. "

AND THEY WERE ALL CHEATED. SO that someone who created this story becomes rich. More and more believe until story becomes history, history becomes a legend, legend becomes a myth. COz NOBODY can tell me where the heck this idea comes from. AND who the heck told them the death people need all those papers? NONONO, corection, its ashes! The death one call them or sms them using their ashes handphone maybe? GOD~~~~Why don't they also burn a paper of themself, so that the death one won't be lonely down there? Hmmm...maybe burn whole family better! Then it will be no difference like they r alive. THEY will have family and friends like alive!!!!

Thats how it started. And now, burning paper money becomes a tradition. If we, the young ones don't follow...they will say we don't respect them. And stubborn and watever they can think of. TO me, is just burning our money and poluting our air. SIGH

I couldn't stand it. But hell today, i prayed as i am told...taking the josstick and say "ho hia ti kong, po pi wa tiok be pio (good buddies, let me strike toto)" and I told my "buddies" the number.
